We are pleased to announce an upcoming citywide outreach meeting focused on providing residents with important information about Mansfield’s Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) program and the upcoming work within our city. This meeting is a crucial opportunity for our community to learn about the measures being taken to ensure the safety and quality of our water supply.

This initiative is in response to the EPA mandate aimed at reducing lead and copper levels in drinking water to protect public health. The project is led by EJES, Inc.’s Shreveport office, located at 201 Wilkinson St, Shreveport, LA 71104. EJES, Inc. has been actively reaching out to cities across the state to explore potential partnerships for the EPA-mandated Lead Service Line (LSL) Replacement Program.

  • Funding Information
  • Bipartisan Infrastructure Law: This project is supported by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which provides significant funding to improve water infrastructure and eliminate lead service lines. 
  • Louisiana Department of Health (LDH): Through the LDH, Mansfield LCRR has been fully funded:
    • 49% Grant or Principal Forgiveness: This portion is free and does not have to be repaid.
    • 51% No-Interest Loan: This loan can be repaid over up to 30 years.
    • If lead is found, the grant covers the cost of full service line replacement.
